Current Employee - Lead Chemistry Tutor in Stanford, CA
Current Employee - Lead Chemistry Tutor in Stanford, CA

I have been working at Stanford University part-time (more than a year)

Pros

As a student, I have control over how much time I want to spend tutoring. I get to choose my hours and also what subjects I feel comfortable tutoring.

Cons

Stanford has moved to group tutoring session, which limits the flexibility of tutoring somewhat. However, group sessions means more students, which is a good thing!

    Pros

Flexibility for employees, strong school spirit and a dedicated focus from all employees on providing a great education to students

    Cons

Stanford has a lot of employees who have been there a long while so sometimes one gets the impression that it is difficult for new employees to move up the ladder.
