I worked at Stanford University full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

At the heart of Biotech kingdom

Cons

- Scientists are sometimes hard to communicate with (not everyone but some are socially
   very awkward)
- Some Stanford folks are too full of themselves but there are equally amazing people so try to choose well

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus more on teaching. I know so many people who are on their own as advisors are too busy with grants and other stuff. Teaching and student Face time has been minimized to non-existing. Seen MANY students suffering from lack of guidance.

I have been working at Stanford University part-time for more than a year

    Pros

As a student, I have control over how much time I want to spend tutoring. I get to choose my hours and also what subjects I feel comfortable tutoring.

    Cons

Stanford has moved to group tutoring session, which limits the flexibility of tutoring somewhat. However, group sessions means more students, which is a good thing!
