Pros

Many opportunities to interact smart people with quite different minds. Easy access to both academia and industry connections. Nice campus is a plus.

Cons

Too expensive to live at Palo Alto. Will have heavy traffic during football games. No clear road signs for directions to most of the buildings.

    Pros

At the heart of Biotech kingdom

    Cons

    - Scientists are sometimes hard to communicate with (not everyone but some are socially
       very awkward)
    - Some Stanford folks are too full of themselves but there are equally amazing people so try to choose well

    Advice to Management

Focus more on teaching. I know so many people who are on their own as advisors are too busy with grants and other stuff. Teaching and student Face time has been minimized to non-existing. Seen MANY students suffering from lack of guidance.
