Pros

Great for students; great funding; depending on the professor you're working with you can have a lot of freedom.

Cons

Sometimes communication isn't great. If you need something, you have to be explicitly clear about it. You also have to be clear about setting expectations about communication with professors and Sophomore College leadership. And make sure to clarify how much you're getting paid and when. People running the program seem super stressed out all the time, which means it can be hard to put on a happy face for the students.

Advice to Management

Don't depend on the professor to relay functional, financial information to students. Tell the students yourselves, otherwise there can easily be miscommunication.

    Pros

At the heart of Biotech kingdom

    Cons

    - Scientists are sometimes hard to communicate with (not everyone but some are socially very awkward) - Some Stanford folks are too full of themselves but there are equally amazing people so try to choose well

    Advice to Management

Focus more on teaching. I know so many people who are on their own as advisors are too busy with grants and other stuff. Teaching and student Face time has been minimized to non-existing. Seen MANY students suffering from lack of guidance.
