Pros

Decent pay if you're an EXTREMELY good sales person.
If your team is fun, your job will be fun. Sort of.

Cons

STRESSFUL. STRESSFUL. STRESSFUL.
I worked for this company for a year and a half with no raises - and I was a top sales person in the company
Benefits are horrible
No 401k
MICROMANAGEMENT. Corporate office expects SO MUCH of managers, sales associates and doctors, to the point of people literally having nervous twitches from the amount of pressure from corporate.
They strive for "customer service" but when they take one step forward, they take about four steps back.
Corporate uses fear to get results
Company is new, so they are just using trial and error to find out what works. Policies/procedures change CONSTANTLY.
They nickel and dime their costs by using lower quality lenses and frames, but trying to tell the sales people to sell them as the same quality as designer quality lenses and frames.
They work their managers and have started paying them WAY less, and it doesn't make the sales associates strive to want to move up with the company.
Sales associates are VERY under appreciated. - You will NEVER get enough credit for how hard you work, no matter what position you're in, at any time, AT ALL.
Sales associates have to LIE ON A DAILY BASIS to make sales.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Let the managers do their jobs and manage their own stores. That's why they're there. Spend the additional few dollars to get some better products, it will make customers happier, and avoid remakes/refunds. Don't overwork the doctors. Offices cannot see 70+ patients in one day. It is LITERALLY impossible.

APPRECIATE YOUR SALES ASSOCIATES AND YOUR EMPLOYEES MORE. THEY ARE NOT AFRAID TO LEAVE YOU. Your competition offers MUCH more for employees and doesn't treat them as such garbage/scum.

I worked at Stanton Optical full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Laid back environment. Most employees are friendly.

    Cons

Low salary, promises of bonuses which never materialize.d Promoted after 8 months with no increase in pay. Moved around from location to location. They moved their copywriting/SEO department back by the optical lab for many months. Constant noise, chemical odors, dust in air, leaking roof, mold in air ducts. UNHEALTHY work environment. Brought in outside consultant who had no clue, he was fired but by then it was too late. They eventually moved copywriting/SEO department back to main corporate area but by then I had already been offered another job with a well organized/professional company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Spend some time with Vanna White and buy a clue or too. Why does your company have such a high turnover rate? Why does your company get poor reviews? Why are your customers unhappy? You need to fix your problems internally and slow down on opening new stores. Very inconsistent management from store to store, many disgruntled employees. Could be a great company but they are maybe too laid back? Do they even have a business plan or are they just winging it?
