    Too many changing metrics, not enough rewards for employees, employees have too much out on them to sell and not enough reward at the end of the day.

    Reward and promote and you will get more out of the people who work for you. Acknowledge York people don't just think taking your team for dinner is enough

    Pros

    Financially solid company as a monopoly in the "Office Supply" world.
    Have first-hand knowledge of promotions from within.
    OK benefits for part-timers.
    Decent wages for part-timers.
    Safe and relatively clean working environment.
    Friendly employees and bosses.
    If you are looking for a stepping-stone, you found the perfect place.
    Very flexible with schedule for students, religion, mothers, or any other reason for part-timers.

    Cons

    Mature employees are still treated like children.
    No company loyalty from Staples.
    Unequal give-and-take relationship.
    Promotes from outside as well as within.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Demands must be meet with realistic support.
    We cannot produce when we don't have the "Tools" or "Materials".
    Invest in your employees!
