    Pros

    - Recognized brand that has historically been a retail innovator - Most employees practice good work/life balance - Great cafeteria - Many opportunities to lead and to work cross-functionally

    Cons

    - Communications silos abound - Most employees seem to have a "punch the clock" attitude, weren't inspiring or motivated, felt like many were biding their time - Training/onboarding is virtually non-existent

    Advice to Management

Get over your addiction to meetings- innovative companies are doing, not meeting all the time. Stop pitting complementary departments against each other. Invest in formal on-boarding in every department, a one-day investment can reap many benefits.

  2. Don't get stuck in a store with "High Tenure Employees"

    Pros

-Paid weekly -Electronics easy to sell -Got to see some of the newest tech first -Benefits were ok

    Cons

-Store Manager was very disrespectful to many employees -Store was very cliquey because of the high tenure employees -Store Manager supported the "clique" environment, I was doomed from the moment I walked into the building. -Lots of backstabbing from associates and I didn't get support from the store manager because of the years the employees worked at the store. -Was step up to fail, you can't succeed if your not in the "clique" -Maybe someone will see this and report Lucy to HR one day for her unethical behavior towards employees who are not the same color as she is.

    Advice to Management

-During your hiring process have the potential candidate meet with the Store Manager before the offer is made. -This particular location in South Philly was not a good fit for me or the staff. -Because a Store Manager runs the building like a tryant doesn't make them a "good manager". Check the behaviors they don't fall in line with the HR policies. -I stood up for myself because I was talked to in a disrespectful way and I got shown the other side of the door in a real sneaky way. LOL
