I have been working at Staples full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

The surrounding area was interesting at night time. There are a lot of pretty girls to see when unloading the trucks in the evening.

Cons

Bad Pay, Bad Management. The only decent checks were around the holidays when overtime was a must. Aside from that it was a complete waste of time.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pros

You can add the experience of being a "Technician" on your resume. This is something you will need (alongside a certification) to land a proper IT gig.

    Cons

They only care about sales figures. Little room for growth. Only managers can attain full-time.

I worked at Staples full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Ever evolving. Never a day goes by where you don't wonder what new "thing" we have to do.

    Cons

There is never a sense of stability. Everything is your top priority. So nothing is a priority. The company wants to walk with the tech giants, but doesn't want to pay for the talent and skill to even be in that race. They almost have the mentality that if you put an expensive "new" item on a shelf it will sell itself. They don't want to spend on the salaries necassary or the proper training for the PEOPLE necassary to SELL the product. They treat selling computers like selling paper.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Improve your salary structure of associates, hire motivated people, and hire managers that now how to coach and train the staff.
