I worked at Staples part-time (less than a year)

Pros

-Fun work environment, comradery
-A lot of inexperienced hourly workers so great job for a first start in the industry

Cons

-Some managers take advantage of workers who show willingness to help
-May be a situational experience, however did not agree with the scheduling

I have been working at Staples

    Pros

Staples was a great place to work, at least the store I was in. Management was friendly and very constructive. You will gain tons of knowledge from the superiors and your coworkers.

    Cons

The seasonal crowds can get annoying. BTS is a pain for tech. Just in general it's not a fun time.

I have been working at Staples full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The majority of the people are fantastic to work with. Work/life balance is great and some teams are very flexible with telecommuting.

    Cons

There is no room for advancement anymore. With all the lay offs to "flatten" the organization it has made it very difficult to advance. Also, if you do get promoted it is more with who likes you in the organization rather than skill set.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The morale is beyond repair. Cutting cost is always best for the company.
