I worked at Staples part-time

Pros

Interesting work. You get to learn a lot from the management, and they are constantly pushing you to sell more plans.

Cons

Constant push to sell can be a lot of pressure but it's a sales position to I think that's something you have to expect from that.
Pay wasn't that great for the amount of work done.

    Poorest training of employees - just do tests on the computer and the rest of the job knowledge is from on the job.

    I have been working at Staples part-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Very friendly co-workers and customers - pleasant work environment. Indoors and climate controlled. Not very much heavy lifting.

    Cons

    Poor hourly pay!!! Very little regard for the employee and their family
    It's still retail - store open Thanksgiving evening!!! And early on Black Friday. and New Year's Day? Very brief lunch break

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Please train your people better! Perhaps allow them to train on their personal home computer - because any attempt to train at the store - gets eliminated when customers arrive.
