Staples – “Good Company, but wages suck”

Pros

Engaging, growth opportunities to a point, leadership listens, competitive spirit, ongoing training, consistent expectations across all stores, benefits packages are very nice.

Cons

No positive feedback provided for jobs well done, wage rate is poor and HR makes it impossible to get it fixed to stay competitive, once you hit the general manager role it's very hard to advance, demanding expectations which constantly change.

Advice to Senior Management

Care about your people. While it was nice to get sent to Boston and receive more training, we often feel overwhelmed by all the goals you throw at us. It's a constant barrage of change and burns us out quickly.
