Current Employee – been working at Starbucks
Pros – You get to hang out in a coffee shop while you are working.
They treat their people well.
They lack retirement benefits.
Cons – Too many meetings and conference calls.
Very large organization which can be a negative.
Politically correct to a fault.
Support center in Seattle can be out of touch at times with field operations.
Advice to Senior Management – Too many changes and new initiatives generated on regular basis. These can hamper field operations and overwhelm personnel. Many initiatives have not been sufficiently tested prior to their introduction.
