I have been working at Starbucks part-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Outstanding part time job. Health, dental, vision, stock, 401K, tuition reimbursement, paid vacation, free coffee or tea weekly, discount on food, beverage and product. Positive work atmosphere. Store team is like a second family as are many of the regular customers. Great coffee and tea.

    Cons

Lots of deep cleaning. Long shifts. Strict QASQ guidelines. Closers are more like janitors.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More focus on employees and less on QASA standards.

I worked at Starbucks part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible hours, easy work, okay perks (if you like Starbucks). Solid Part-time job.

    Cons

Food service... customers are terrible people sometimes. The training is also arduous and you end up making your own routine anyway. You'll smell like coffee all the time!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Allow employees to find their own way to do things - it might just be better.
