    I worked at Starbucks full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

    Excellent benefits; Work 240 hours per quarter and you will have full benefits.
    Excellent atmosphere and a great group of people.
    Opportunities for quick advancement up to Store Manager level

    Cons

    Rewards the more bubbly outgoing personalities regardless of how hard the work or the lack of work they do.
    If you are young, any shift is easy but as you get older, 40 hours a week wears on you.

    Don't just reward the people who can talk the talk and be blind to the lack of work and worth ethic

    Free Pound of Coffee Each Week, Free Beverages While Working, Discounts, Flexible Hours, Decent Tips ($1.50/hr), Customer Relationships, Fun Environment, Good Training, Extra Christmas Discount

    Cons

    Hard to get a Steady Schedule (changes every week), Messy Job, Cleaning Drains (blech!), Some Abrasive Shift Supervisors (varies by store)
