    Pros

Starbucks has some things going for it. Some good policies. Some industry-leading practices. And it's a big enough company that you might find a pocket here or there were you can be happy. But if you are looking to work for the Corporate Headquarters in Seattle, WA be aware that it is VERY political. Your career advancement will be based on whether you can fit into the "in crowd" or not.

    Cons

There are a lot of convoluted practices and cultural land mines at Starbucks. It is not a well-organized professional type of place. It is more like high school or college. If you belong to the right group and fit in with the in crowd, then it doesn't matter too much if you are good at your job or not, you will do well. But if you don't fit in..... just leave. No sense spinning your wheels.

    Positive Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
