I worked at Starbucks part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

You can get health insurance for part time, you are given stock, an employee discount, and other financial perks.

    Cons

It is very hard work, and you often feel undervalued no matter how hard you try.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to notice the little extra things that employees do, or they will become jaded and stop caring.

I worked at Starbucks full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Easy, great benefits even for part time, friendly coworkers, good customers.

    Cons

Low pay, expected to be available at the last minute if someone calls in, corporate places completely unreasonable expectations for a minimum wage job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Spend some time actually working in your stores before dictating how it should be run. Most of them have never worked behind the counter in their life, and it shows.
