Starbucks Barista in Sacramento, CA:   (Current Employee)

Pros

You get paid more than any other entry-level teenage job. You also get tips. If you get in at 16 (or whatever your state's min age is) you can expect an opportunity to become a supervisor the moment you turn 18, and perhaps manager while your still in college! Now THAT looks good on a resume.

Cons

Its not easy. You have to be nice to some of the snottiest people. If you were working at McDonalds, you could possibly ignore them. But here at Starbucks, if you give a rude person what he/she deserves thats the end of your career. You really really have to be a people person.

Advice to Senior Management

Examine the reasons people are choosing not to come to Bux, and fix them. Don't just lower/raise prices hoping for a change. Were a great company, and you can keep it that way.
