I have been working at Starbucks part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Working with a good team of people makes all the difference when it was busy. From my experience it was that teamwork that made me get through the busy times as a barista. Moderate pay for a non-managerial position. You get tips on the side, that are given out weekly, and if I remember right, health benefits were provided for part-time employees.

    Cons

Sometimes the customers and really early shifts. Morning shifts starting at 4 or 430 a.m. but I guess thats part of the business.

I have been working at Starbucks full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Work doesn't follow you home, sense of community, benefits, pay, discount on coffee and products.

    Cons

It's a LOT of hard work somedays. Every year they change the way they do things pretty drastically. The dress code is restrictive and sort of ridiculous.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Never expect respect by telling, never forget how hard it is to be at the bottom of the ladder.
