Pros

I love the people I work with!
The discount
Free bean stock

Cons

Customers treat you like crap
The pay is awful for how much work is expected of you
Schedules are ridiculous. I'll be scheduled to close and be off work at 1030pm and back thenext day at 6am

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Remember that we are the face of your company. We work way too hard to get paid so little.

I have been working at Starbucks full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Awesome benefits, health care, stock grants, matching 401k, flexible work schedule

    Cons

takes over your life. you are expected to be on call 24/7 and live your life entirely for Starbucks. The benefits and salary, do not compensate enough for the amount of work and life you are expected to put in.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Better support your partners with higher salaries and more (realistic) work life balance.

I have been working at Starbucks part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

work goes by fast because it is usually busy and the work itself is fast-paced.

    Cons

because you work in such close proximity (more or less, behind a single counter), having even one coworker you really dislike can just about ruin your entire experience.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Thoroughly train your new employees, so they don't feel like idiots when they are asked to do something they've never been taught to do.
