I worked at Starbucks part-time (more than an year)

Pros

Get to work with fun people (everyone is weird in their own way, not fun if they aren't), free drinks on shifts, meet a lot of new people

Cons

Some crazy customers, certain shifts can get hectic and stressful, after restocking you smell like bad milk, spills... they can get pretty awful, after some long shifts you have every syrup on you

Starbucks was a great place to work; I enjoyed all my fellow employees and the customers we saw every day.

I have been working at Starbucks full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Starbucks offers better pay than most other coffee/fast food places. Benefits are also good, and tips at the store I worked at were usually upwards of $80 a week per partner. The environment is fun and encourages interpersonal relationships.

    Cons

Cons were minimal when I worked there, but one may be consistency in procedures -- they changed recipes and procedures for employees pretty frequently.

I have been working at Starbucks part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

I'm speaking strictly working as a Barista. (Worked there from 08-09)
Great work environment for high school/college students.

Great coffee, easy going customers, AWESOME pastries (though you get sick of them pretty quickly).

A free bag of coffee a week, good employee discounts

    Cons

Hours varied from week to week.
    The occasional difficult customer
