I have been working at Starbucks full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Great benefits for both full time and part time employees, also if you need a part time job, its easy to work the early shift and be done by 10-11 am and have the whole rest of the day for other things!

Cons

Pay sucks. Horrible. And they do not train you well. They push sales on coffee beans, but most of your customers are coming to get coffee from you and not make their own - really annoying to push that on them.

    I worked at Starbucks

    Pros

Friendly people make it not too bad overall. you need to enjoy customers. It can be very boring at times.

    Cons

Service sector. People are mean and don't like their coffee. I wouldn't do it again. I recommend a different job.

  2.

Enjoying this job depends solely and heavily upon the Store Manager you have.

Poor management will make this job a living hell.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to what the baristas have to say about the Store Manager. Allowing management to slack off causes poor work ethic in underlings and a low moral. Don't allow people who think setting others up for failure as the best method of training to run your stores. It is a recipe for disaster.
