Pros

The work is easy, you get unlimited coffee while you're on shift, and the atmosphere is very laid-back. It can be a lot of fun if you get along with your co-workers.

Cons

Quality of management really depends on the store. Some stores may have cool managers that allow for some freedom and a spirited work environment, others will have drill-sergeant robots that follow all the rules to the letter, regardless of whether or not they make sense.

Advice to Management

Remember - people go to Starbucks for the atmosphere. Keep your employees happy, and they'll nurture that environment naturally.

    Pros

I love the interaction with so many people and that I get to learn something new everyday. I love my coworkers and the fact that I get free drinks is also just another perk!

    Cons

It is very fast paced and a lot of memorization at first but once you understand it, it gets easier. Mornings are stressful when you have a lot of customers.

  2. Keep a very cool head and you'll be fine

    Pros

    Great coworkers
    good benefits
free coffee and food every week
I would only recommend this job if you have a strong want to move up in this food industry or its something temporary and you have a backup job.

    Cons

Like any customer service job you have your fair share of the crazies and rude customers, but people get sickeningly particular about their coffee, its more of a fashion statement to them than an actual drink. And may even throw their hot coffee on you.
You have to get the right manager, if you don't your time will be hell.
Pay is not good for the amount of labor, running around and crap you have to deal with on a daily basis.
My job would deny my coworkers and i breaks and then had managers told us to smile more.
