I have been working at Starbucks part-time for more than 8 years

Pros

Excellent flexibility, promotions within retail environment are often quick, consistent raises, tips are decent if in a good neighborhood and you work to develop customer connections.

Cons

Managers are often not fair or well trained. Hours are super early or super late, makes regular life difficult.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Remember where you started and treat others with decency and respect. You get back what you give; don't be surprised when the bottom falls out!

    Pros

    Best job of my life. I left six years ago to pursue higher paying and more "professional" positions. I will always look back on Starbucks as some of the best working years of my life.

    I've heard the management has gone down hill.

    benefits (even for part-time employees)
    fun atmosphere
