Starbucks – “Not the right brew for everyone”
Pros
-Free pound coffee every week
-Stock- bean stock.
-Health benefits after 90 days.
-Motivated young adults who want to be there, the culture quickly weeds out the bad fits.
Cons
-Management can rarely take two days off in a row.
- Benefits are not clearly spelled out- even after being hired still not clear on what the benefits were till benefits package arrived after 90 days.
- fast pace, little downtime, management still on the time clock
- expected to get everything done with minimal staff and no overtime. Hard to fit the expectation of time worked-time paid
Advice to Senior Management
-Better training.
-Waste less product and use that money for more staffing.
-Provide a better work life balance for management.
