Advice to Management

Starbucks is a great company with a great menu of products. My former store did a great job at educating its baristas and shift managers, but I see inconsistency throughout the country. For example, the Starbucks in the Flint and Lapeer region have some of the most misinformed baristas I have ever encountered.

    Pros

I love the benefits, the customers, coffee and food! I have always said it's not work unless it's fun... I defiantly enjoy working with everyone at my store. There is a level of respect at the Starbucks that I haven't seen at a lot of other work places. My manager is Awesome! I have a 401k, stocks, and they have done tuition replenishment!

    Cons

I have wanted to get into the corporate side of Starbucks because I just love the company so much. They don't really get back with you a all.

    Pros

-Fun environment -Free drinks (While working) -It keeps you busy -Great Benefits -Most customers are pretty awesome! -You meet a lot of great people

    Cons

-Management absolutely sucks! -Favoritism plays a huge part in some stores -Managers take out all frustration on the shift supervisor -Promotions can be based upon favoritism -Talked down to -Management yells at you in front of customers

    Advice to Management

Some advice to UPPER management, make sure that you know what's going on inside of your store. Make sure to visit random stores to make sure that your partners feel comfortable working there and not being constantly harassed by the store manager.
