I worked at Starbucks full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

You get to create a work family between your employees and customers. You learn great building blacks for life and business. I think that most people should work for Starbucks because it teaches you a lot. I really enjoyed my 5yrs with them. Benefits are great, and there is the ability to grow you just need to show it.

Cons

There can be a lot of change, so you have to be open minded when you walk in. Unfortunately, you always get at least one bad seed manager that can really ruin your experience.

    Pros

They work around your schedule. You get 401k, stock options, paid time off. and health insurance. They really want to take care of you. I honestly love my job

    Cons

They stress the importance of cleaning and QASA yet demand you focus on customers. You have to work like you're three people in the floor which doesnt leave time for any customer interaction or cleaning duties. They are cutting our labor in half leaving no time for anything.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My advice is to corporate. I think by including people who have actually done the grunt work and understand the customer service aspect of the stores might help some of the changes to labor and work operations.
