I have been working at Starbucks full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

They look after their retail partners, free coffee, corporate headquarters is nice. Starbucks has a diverse work environment. Volunteering opportunities, They have the partner cup fund which is established to help partners in need.

Cons

Terrible work life balance. Commute is terrible. No parking. No bonus. They say they offer stock but it is a lie. Terrible systems with even worse IT support. I've seen people harassed and treated quite bad. Very political, high schoolish, gossip driven culture. A lot of people seem down right unhappy there and a lot of people are leaving. No career pathing and people with the wrong experience are put into roles then treated poorly until they catch up and figure the role out with little to no support from management or fellow partners. Leadership is completely out of touch.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Become more in touch with your employees and work on getting more support especially with IT solutions. Put an end to the harassment and build a collaborative work environment.

I have been working at Starbucks part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The benefits are the main pro. Its rare to get health insurance for a part time retail job.

    Cons

There are often times that I've had to work until 10pm one day and then turn around to come in at 6:30 am the next day. Also I work at a very busy store so its constantly hard work to keep up with demand
