I have been working at Starwood Hotels & Resorts full-time (more than an year)

Pros

great benefits, so many possibilities of career direction, staff fun to work with

Cons

not many....have to be flexible in schedule, and some locations slow down in business so much that hours can be cut during slow weeks. that's usually only a few weeks out of the year if you're in one of those locations

Advice to ManagementAdvice

keep moving forward with new ideas and building relationships with associates

I have been working at Starwood Hotels & Resorts full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great company, especially once you've been with them longer than 1 year. Decent benefits package, 401K, health etc. Nothing too much to complain about. company definitely encourages internal promotions, training and advancement. In fact, I would say most of the time this is preferred rather than hiring outside employees.

    Cons

Hospitality is rough; long hours, working holidays, overtime every week, weekends, overnights.
