Pros

Very god company to work for. They help cultivate your skills and provide you with the path to make it to your next level in management.

Cons

I work a lot. My current work life balance is very off. I typically work 60 - 70 hours a week and expected to do so.

    Pros

Large company with many opportunities for career advancement. The associate development program is an avenue for employees to train for management positions and put themselves in a position to succeed.

    Cons

There weren't many specific cons I experienced while working for Starwood. The hospitality industry as a whole requires a flexible working schedule and long hours often including working on holidays. This is a con of the industry as a whole and not specific to Starwood.

    Advice to Management

Trust in the abilities of the employees by allowing for them to make decisions at the operational level which will increase the efficiency and speed of service to the guests

  2. The worst place I have ever worked. Slave drivers. Horrible pay. Don't believe there BS about making more money. Run...

    Pros

Worked at home so was safe from the traffic in Austin especially glad when it rained. Did not have to spend money on work clothes.

    Cons

Poor management, leadership, training, horrible pay structure. Unreachable goals. Team leader was seriously rude and impatient and uneducated. If your internet goes down you don't get paid for the time your off the phones. Took 90 calls a day.

    Advice to Management

    Find a new job.
