Starwood Hotels & Resorts – “starwood is sub-par”

Pros

The benefits are great! Especially if you like traveling because the company gives you discounted pricing for hotels and sometimes ammenities. Also generally speaking everyone is kind but surely not the brightest in the busines.

Cons

The benefits are up to par with its competitors. However, be the salaries paid are very low. Some new managers can expect to easily make between 25k-28k per year! It's not into years of hard work and slave labor, 70-80 per week, that it will all pay off. I recommend going into another industry and/or going back for graduate school.

Advice to Senior Management

Senior management seems to prize those of whom have been with the company for years. It's rare to find young talented people climbing their corporate latter because most of the talent ends up leaving for better opportunities. If they were to better recognize talent then perhaps they could retain some of these incredible people.
