I have been working at State Farm full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Corporate state farm is awesome and great to their employees but agents are independent and company can't help team members.

Cons

Stressful job meeting monthly numbers with a huge stress to sell life insurance for the agent to make there trip. Little room to advance in an agents office.

I worked at State Farm full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Opportunities abound for those willing to work outside the job description, have political finesse, are very sociable, and are bilingual. Having other family members working in the company is usually good. Perks are good.

    Cons

Be ready to work in a highly stressful environment and to change operations at a moments notice., Agency partners are a mixed bag to work with; beware.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Support your workers when they follow established guidelines and procedures. If your worker wants to pursue opportunities beyond their assigned duties, if you will not allow this or cannot accomadate the request; explain why.
