I have been working at State Farm full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

There are numerous opportunities to find challenge in your work. It can be quite stimulating and rewarding. There is often room to define your own expectations.

    Cons

There are as many obstacles to performing well and seeking stimulation as there are opportunities. Clarity of expectations can lead to miscommunication issues and disappointment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If expectations are to perform at a high level (and they should be), then care should be taken to remove barriers. Careful consideration could be given to elements of high performing work environment.

I have been working at State Farm full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Requires 38.75 hours per week as full-time
Larger annual bonuses as you move up, if you move up

    Cons

After more than 15 years, I see significant advances to get the company caught up with the electronic age, but at a tremendous cost to the employee base

    Future job cuts are imminent

While only 38.75 hours are "required", if you are salaried and do less than 50 hours, you are crucified
