Great culture at heart, but I sometimes feel like leadership is biting off more than it can chew.

I have been working at State Farm full-time

    Pros

The work is interesting. The company has a long-standing and well-deserved reputation of caring about its employees. The people are generally easy to get along with.

    Cons

There are too many new initiatives in place, including restructuring internal processes and expanding corporate-type roles to other offices. I believe that not all of these initiatives were well thought-out individually and lots of backtracking has characterized early-stage work. Further, resources are stretched this to tackle all these things at once. Fortunately, leadership is plying us with bonus-money, which makes the aggravation a little easier to take.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Slow down. Historically, State Farm moved too slow. Now we're trying to build Rome (and Paris and London) in a day.
