ProsStability, job security, ethics, friendly co-workers, benefits

Due to market pressures, State Farm is changing. It is still a stable company with job security.

ConsState Farm is becoming more and more production oriented with less emphasis on relationships with agency. If you are looking for advancement, be willing and open to moving.

Advice to Senior ManagementWith the increases emphasis on production and overtime requirements, morale is under pressure.

I have been working at State Farm as an intern for less than a year

Pros: Very nice people, decent hours (9am to 4 or 5pm), I am able to work on what I want… Cons: Lower hourly rate than what I would like, office staff is not getting commission for any of their sales, the agent gets all of it… Advice to Senior Management: Encourage agents to commission their staff.
