I have been working at State Farm full-time for more than 10 years

Pros

Work life balance is amazing. All management is friendly and always happy to talk. I enjoy the work I'm doing and can see how it relates to the whole very easily

Cons

Bloomington is not really the greatest community for the arts

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to people. Not through surveys, but really really listen to them. However, I am very happy with the accessibility of the upper levels of management. Not a week goes by that we don't have some opporutinty to give feedback to the VPs and that is definitely a good thing

I worked at State Farm full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great pay, management is awesome. They really act like a team environment and do not act above you. They understand and respect family work balance.

    Cons

Mandatory late hours and weekends now.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire new people to work the extended and weekend hours so the tenured employees do not have to.

I have been working at State Farm full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Benefits, vacation time rolls over from year to year, casual work environment, year en employee bonuses.

    Cons

If you're bottom of the barrel as far as position and department- sometimes you are easily overlooked & taken for granted. Getting time off for vacation is hard

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay more attention to employees, recognize them and utilize the talent you have staffed as there are many qualified and underpaid employees
