I have been working at State Farm full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Paid vacation, generous paid sick time, paid sick family time, sponsored continuing education, yearly bonus/raises, no dress code,

    Cons

Unable to work from home- though we have laptops, long commute to Johns Creek, high claim volume, highly selective internal interview process- difficult to be promoted or make lateral position changes, the internal interview process is complete garbage- no focus on your ability to actually perform the job, but rather how well you can BS your way through the interview questions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Your Complex Claim handlers would be much happier, focused, productive, and efficient if they were allowed to work from home at least once a week.

I have been working at State Farm full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

The only reasons I have stayed more than 20 years are the salary, benefits, and wonderful friends I've made. Also, it's a nice facility. Oh, and I can wear jeans.

    Cons

The title says it all...dull jobs, often lots of stress, inability for management to make a decision. This company reminds me of a constipated elephant...it takes forever to get anything done.
