I worked at State Farm part-time (less than an year)

Pros

wonderful growth opportunity for someone who needs a part time schedule. This company offers all of the benefits that you would expect on a full time job.

Cons

Schedule assignment can be a complete surprise or change every quarter. This may not work if you are on a tight budget or if you have already paid for a class schedule. You will always work on weekends

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Most of you are awesome and supportive. The trainers could use a little work, perhaps coaching on diversity and alternative teaching methods.

I worked at State Farm full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

The company will pay for you to get your P&C (property and casualty) license, and good experience being with the "#1 insurance company in the country".

    Cons

Low pay. The company will hire anybody to fill the seats, so don't expect to be seated with the best. Too much political correctness. If you are a "minority" or a women, that is looked favorably upon and helps with promotion. Takes forever to do anything in the company because it's old as a dinosaur. The company uses outdated systems (MS-DOS) which are a pain to navigate. Don't expect to make big bucks for a LONG time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Reward your top performers, fire the bad employees, stay competitive.
