I have been working at State Farm full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

-good pay and yearly raises
-good benefits
-don't have to work weekends
-casual dress code
-fun coworkers

Cons

-no appreciation for higher education degrees
-you have to schmooze to be promoted to mgmt or above, and you will get promoted even if you have little to no experience
-hard work sometimes goes unnoticed
-low employee morale

Advice to ManagementAdvice

-listen to employees on the front lines because they are the ones that really know what's going on

    Solid benefits, great organizational values, plenty of PTO, 38.75 hour work week with OT potential, short learning curve and east to learn

    Salary, call center environment- gets old quick/ boring, uneducated coworkers

    Basically unlimited commision of given customers
    Can call on whoever you want

    Agent chooses which deals go to which team members
    Lots of Weekly "goals" like # of phone calls made and number of people you talked to
