I have been working at State Farm full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Office environment, on-site cafeteria, salaries aren't too bad, good benefits.

    Cons

Working here, you are nothing but a number. They don't seem to care as much for their employees like they used to. The job itself isn't bad, it's all the red tape the mid line managers make you do. They put pressure on you constantly to be on the phones (not giving you time to do your own work); time limits to review mail that has come in; finding coverage while you're on phones if they want to give a quick meeting (you have to find someone to do your phone shift, not them); same with your hours which range from anywhere from 6:45am-7pm. It's basically a one big call center. Is that what you went to school for to work in a call center? If it is, then you'll love it. But be fore warned that you must have a Bachelor's degree to work here.

    Advice to Management

Stop with all the red tape and the micro-managing. You monitor everything-even bathroom breaks. You treat everyone like children, it's beyond annoying.
