I have been working at State National Co. full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

Small company. Nice modern, clean facility. Peers are pleasant to work with. Upper management (owners).

Cons

Middle management set in their ways, not open to new ideas. Some managers manage through fear. Employees are treating differently. Some employees are fired for tardiness, while others, including managers have more tardiness issues than the person let go. Poor benefits. Layoffs. Not much room for advancement. Location.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be open to new ideas. Share information about the company. Treat your employees better.

    Great work environment
    Vacation and sick time continue to roll over every year
    Co-workers are very kind
    Management is understanding about unforeseen family devastations

    Cons

    High deductible medical plan
    Limited vision and dental plan, however it is comparable to other plans on the market

    Management does a good job showing appreciation for a job well done. Just remember you can always give more.

    I have been working at State National Co.

    Pros

    Co-workers were great, location wasn't bad sort central area, building well maintained, no very stressful job

    Cons

    No room for advancement once you are in call center they do everything to keep you their or terminate you, pay was not good at all and raises are even worse, management and supervisors lack knowledge and do not conduct themselves well with employees, communication issues from HR dept

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Treat employees with respect, show that employees are appreciated by incentives and proper raises, employees in the call center have to stay glued to their seats just to try to get bonus money cause the pay sucks!
