“Generally stable place to work”
Current Employee – been working at State Street
Pros – If you're above average intelligence State Street will keep you around. The time off is better than most companies. Good company to have on your resume.
Cons – Poor work/life balance. If you take time off, you're looked at negatively. Pay increases are poor at best. Promotions are tough to come by. Pay in general is poor compared to other companies. The pay varies from person to person greatly.
Advice to Senior Management – If you want to keep the people that keep State Street running well, pay them more and stop sending the jobs to India.
