I have been working at State Street full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

State Street has excellent health and welfare benefits, flex work arrangements, and competitive 401 (k) programs.

Cons

Management doesn't seem interested in what employees who are doing the work have to say about improvements or increased efficiency. Compensation is very low compared to other companies.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Use the employee engagement survey's wisely.

    Too big, no coordination, no incentives for employees, no feedback related to performance, large workload, senior management;s "don't care" attitude.

    Restructure your company with focus on the employee, especially employees working in entry level positions.

    Pros

    You could get lucky and end up on a team worth working with and earn new fiends.
    Pay is decent.

    Cons

    oh, so many cons...
    Management sucks/ bipolar management
    Boring job
    Not appreciated
    Definitely not an environment for young workers
    Everybody tries to get in your business and then go cubicle to cubicle gossiping
    Could not walk to the restroom without feeling watched

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Make employees feel more like humans and show your gratitude for their hard work instead of setting up "assembly lines" and demoralizing them.
