I have been working at State Street full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The people you work with are great. The office had a friendly vibe and I didn't mind going into the office everyday. State Street also has work from home capabilities.

    Cons

You can't move up in the company. The only way to get a promotion is to leave the company and come back a year later. They hire managers based mostly on their connections, which is very frustrating when you end up having to do your bosses job on a daily basis. Expected to put long days in. Very high turnover.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Promote from within and stop hiring higher positions from the outside.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I worked at State Street full-time for more than a year

    Pros

It was an entry level job so co-workers are all around the same age and they are all just out of college.

    Cons

Everything was done the same as it had been for a long time instead of upgrading with technology. The job involved the same exact steps every single day. Ideas for improvement were not heard by higher management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Embrace technology and make daily activities more efficient.
