No opinion of CEO

I worked at State Street full-time (More than a year)

Pros

job is easy and if you know how to manage your time, you have time for lunch. good environment. useful benefits good name on your cv

Cons

Let me think. Low salary. ridicolous salary. Unexperienced management. senior associates are there because they have been patient and they haven't left the company after few months as any individual with a sound financial background and ambition would do, provided that you haven't got caught in the hamster wheel. Trainings and meeting are useless and take place just because the corporation says so. 1to1 meetings are a waste of time and are usually scheduled for the rush hours.

Advice to Management

nothing. really.

I have been working at State Street full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

If you're looking for experience, State Street offers courses to improve ones skills and provides educational assistance.

    Cons

You can be overwhelmed if insufficient training is provided. Some operational teams may not have the time to properly train new employees. A "lean" model does not necessarily work here. Cost cutting programs when morale is already down does not translate to a bright future.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees like people, not a statistic. Expecting undying commitment while providing little commitment back is shortsighted. Management needs to take a good hard look at why things aren't working rather than pushing the most dedicated employees harder and harder. HR needs to do a better job as well rather than ignoring warning signs.
