I have been working at State Street full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

flexible work hours, laid back office atmosphere, good vacation benefits, entry level jobs aren't challenging

Cons

poor compensation and talent development, minimal recognition for quality work, hard to understand why certain employees got promoted (very political), almost no formal training or additional learning, very poor communication between management and employees

Advice to Management

too much turnover, do a better job recognizing and compensating valuable employees and invest in the long term

    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at State Street full-time

    Pros

Option to work from home if your team/managers allow it. Industry Experience, good downtown location, ability to move up the ladder quickly

    Cons

Low Pay, High turnover rates, will lay off people every year in order to replace the "expensive" employees with cheaper ones

    Advice to Management

Start valuing the hard workers you have and maybe there would not be so much turnover

I have been working at State Street full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

benefits are pretty good but compensation is not very competitive by industry standards. This has been a major factor with talent retention.

    Cons

Very limited growth opportunities. Used to be a great place for recent college grads to learn about the industry, but its becoming harder to branch out and learn in the new business model.

    Advice to Management

provide better cross training opportunities and more competitive pay
