Pros

Benefits are amazing and so are the work schedules. Would still be there if not for the budget crisis. Would go back.

Cons

Slow moving, as is govt. However, not many cons to speak of...made less money, but other aspects more thanmade up for it.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

make sure that you only lay people off whenthereis no alternative..people really do love to come to work there.

    Pros

    Benefits
    Lots of time off.
    Co-workers are great and lots of support to receive continuing education if desired to promote future opportunities.

    Cons

    No upward mobility in current job. Need to be appointed to reach Director status, those that are appointed tend to be very political and not necessarily good managers or experienced in the field.

    I have been working at State of Arizona

    Pros

    Great Benifits I like the retirement (if I make it that long). The people I work with is great. Health Benifits is good to go.

    Cons

    The salary is 30 % lower than the private sector. promotion is hard cause when people get in the higher paying positions... they stay

    Let's work on getting the moral up. with the furloughs and unknowns about budget changes., employee motivation has taken a hit. remember we rep....
