I have been working at State of Connecticut

Pros

Great opportunity to work directly with students who were highly motivated. Career centered education lends itself to hands on experiences. Lifetime career if you find it rewarding. Good salary, great job security

Cons

Bureaucracy tends to undermine individual successes. Rules and regulations often overtake student concern. Some employees are to “career centered”. Structure is slow or reluctant to change.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Change is not the enemy. Listen to the people in the trenches they have the day to day experience with the students.
