I worked at State of Florida

Pros

Retirement benefits are not bad, though they have become harder to achieve and cost more. Also, they do provide a necessary service that it appreciated by some clients. Once past they probationary period you can usually stay until retirement.

Cons

Overall, adversarial air between different segments, with management only making the situation worse. Unobtainable expectations for high marks on reviews. Also, they have not received a raise in about 8 years.

I worked at State of Florida

    Pros

I love the court aspect of the job.

    Cons

Sometimes the clientele can be demanding. And the software we had to use was aweful. It is not user-friendly for the people that have to use it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get a new software system and spend the money on it so the people that have to use it will be happier.

I have been working at State of Florida

    Pros

I enjoy my co-workers and the families I work with.

    Cons

Governor, Rick Scott. The pay is not good what so ever. No one should have to live on an income of 26,000 with a stated job that you have your four year degree in.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Get a new governor.
