Nice benefits, low pay, bad morale. Terrible union/management relationship

Current Employee - Director

I have been working at State of Minnesota full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

Great benefits, some really bright people with a high degree of dedication. Rewarding work, opportunity to help people every day.

Cons

Terrible management/union dichotomy means as a manager, you can't do something nice for an employee or you could get grieved. Union mentality is that everyone is equal, separated only by seniority.
