Former Employee – worked at State of Texas
Pros – Opportunity to live in Austin, TX. In a building a couple blocks from the state capitol where you could meet some other people working for State of Texas if you want to seek opportunities to move up in the government.
Cons – Some specific divisions have people in high places who play favorites with the employees and harass those less favored to the point where it could hinder their career advancement.
Advice to Senior Management – Listen to the employees and do not run off all the good employees with dysfunctional activities within the agency. Give them opportunities to train up.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
